Goal of Improvement Project Leader / Green Belt:
The goal is for you to develop project leader knowledge and skills in continual improvement, change, communication, and project management methods to effectively apply to improvement projects.
Agenda:
Training: 32 hours of education and application. Participants bring a scenario to class on which to focus and practice.
1. The Improvement Cycle Approach
- The Improvement cycle and project education and templates.
- Defining the problem gap & the goal.
- Establishing performance measures (identify, select, define, use).
- Process mapping.
- Data Evaluation with basic statistics.
- Problem solving to get to the root of the gaps.
- Creating standard work instructions/procedures.
- Developing and testing solutions.
- How to learn from testing, past performance.
- 5-step Implementation process.
2. Helping Others Embrace Change
- Change management education and templates.
- Draft stakeholder analysis.
- Create change/communication plans.
3. Write active and effective Communication
- “Working with Others” communication methods to improve working relationships.
- Team facilitation education, templates, and lots of practices.
Application and Coaching: One-on-one coaching until results are achieved.
Certification: Participation in this course and completion of 1 project = Continuous Improvement Green Belt CERTIFICATION.
